Subject:
Regulation of Outside Websites linkage from the California Memorial Foundation Website
Purpose:
To maintain control of those agencies/persons wishing to be posted on the California Peace Officers' Memorial Foundation Website as a direct link to their website location.
The California Peace Officers' Memorial Foundation maintains a website to honor California peace officers killed in the line of duty. Contained within the website are a listing of other memorial websites, which have direct linkage from the CPOMF website. In order to protect the purpose and mission of the CPOMF, it is necessary to insure those agencies/persons having or wishing to have direct linkage from the CPOMF website represent the same purpose and mission.
Standards:
1. Be a California law enforcement agency or related association with a peace officer memorial website with a registered domain site in the agency's name; i.e.: Long Beach Police Officers' Association Memorial, etc.;
2. Be a state, national or international law enforcement memorial;
3. Maintain a professional standard of information within its website;
4. The purpose and mission of the outside websites must be like those of CPOMF.
Control:
1. All applications will be reviewed by the Executive Director and the Web Master to insure applicants qualify;
2. Webpage contents will be reviewed to insure professionalism;
3. Those applicants who are not accepted may appeal the decision of the Executive Director directly to the Board of Directors of the CPOMF.
